Looking for an easy way to stay up to date with the latest Ubuntu news, Linux app releases, and open source developments? Add the official OMG! Ubuntu! extension to your Chrome browser!
This free add-on shows you a dropdown list of the 27 most recent posts published on the OMG! Ubuntu! blog, complete with handy thumbnails. You'll receive a native system notification whenever new posts are published, and the toolbar icon will indicate the number of unread posts waiting for you.
If you prefer not to receive notifications, you can easily turn them off in the settings page. Unread items are marked with an orange bookmark emblem on the right. To mark a post as read, simply click the white space before the bookmark icon. You can also mark all posts as read by clicking the text in the footer of the extension.
To read a post, just click its title and you will be taken directly to the correct article on the OMG! Ubuntu! website. The extension is regularly updated, with versionfeaturing an updated toolbar icon and the removal of the broken refresh button.
